Steve Crawford has been a member of the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky and its predecessor organization since 1996 and currently serves as President and Chair. Mr. Crawford is Managing Director for Crawford Insurance. The Crawford Insurance is one of the largest independent insurance firms in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and Thomas More College with an MBA from Xavier University. He has achieved Insurance Industry designations of Certified Insurance Councilor (CIC) and Charter Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
In addition to this foundation, Mr. Crawford has served many nonprofit and insurance industry organizations. Most recently he’s been involved with the capital campaigns of Newport Central Catholic High School, Bishop Brossart High School and St. Joseph Church of Cold Spring. In the business arena, he is currently serving as Chairman of Planning and Zoning for the City of Highland Heights, Liaison for the NKU-Highland Heights Partnership, and as member and past Chairman of Campbell Leadership Action Group (CLAG). He is a former member, Chairman and recipient of numerous awards with the Independent Agents of Kentucky and is a past Chairman of the Kentucky Young Agents Association where he was awarded Outstanding Young Agent of the year. His service and dedication has also been enlisted by the Board of Directors of Professional Training Associates Inc. and the Northern Kentucky Insurance Agents Association. Steve currently is a member of the Legal and Insurance Committee of Woodson Bend Property Owners Association on Lake Cumberland.
Steve Crawford is a lifelong resident of Campbell County and lives in Highland Heights with his wife, Pamela. His greatest achievement is being the proud father of five children and grandpa to two grandchildren.

Dr. Air's career experiences have spanned health care, education, business/economic development and community involvement. She is currently Associate Vice President for Entrepreneurial Affairs and Technology Commercialization at the University of Cincinnati, where she is responsible for oversight of technology transfer operations for its $280 million research base; establishment of supportive commercialization infrastructure; management of a Pre-seed Investment Fund; facilitation of university-industry collaborations; establishment of partnerships with regional economic development initiatives that promote entrepreneurial outcomes; planning of showcase events for university technologies; and development of regional entrepreneurial education programs and resource network systems. In addition, she is a loaned executive from the University to CincyTechUSA, where she manages a grant program for early stage start-up companies to position them for investment, advises entrepreneurs on business opportunities/strategies and oversees subcontract agreements of the Entrepreneur Signature Program’s Third Frontier Grant. Among her awards are the 2007 Leading Women of Greater Cincinnati In Entrepreneurship and voted one of the 2006 Cincinnati’s Top 10 Women in Technology by Cincinnati Women’s Business.
She is a board member of Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Airport and a board member and vice president of Covington Ladies Home. She also serves on the board of the Hamilton County Business Center, Edison Materials Technology Center. She is a consultant to the Competitive Economy Action Team of the Greater Cincinnati Agenda 360 Initiative.
Dr. Air holds a BS and MS in Speech Pathology from Marquette University in Milwaukee and a Ph.D. in Speech Pathology from University of Cincinnati.

Lee Scheben is currently Senior Vice President of Heritage Bank, which he joined in 1994. He has over 25 years experience in the financial industry and holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Lee is also a graduate of the Kentucky School of Banking.
He has been active in several community organizations. Currently he is on the Executive Board of the St Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation and is a member of the Lottery Board for the State of Kentucky. Lee was previously President of the American Heart Association of Northern Kentucky and is the Past President of the Boone County Library Board. A past youth coach for both soccer and basketball, Lee resides in Union, Ky., with his wife Courtney and daughters, Sydney and Summer.

Nancy Barone was the founding CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky. She also serves on a number of professional and community groups and boards throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. She recently served as Regent and Chair of Northern Kentucky University Board.
She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for UC Health's University Hospital. Prior to that, she spent multiple years at The St. Luke Hospitals, serving in a variety of positions including president and CEO, senior vice president, vice president of patient services and director of nursing.
Ms. Barone has been nominated for and has received multiple awards. In 2010 she received the Newport Achievement Award. In 2009 she received the Inspirational Leadership Award from Northern Kentucky University. In 2008 she received the A. Morris Cecil Award from the Northern Kentucky Research Collaborative. In September 2006 Ms. Barone was awarded the 2006 Gallery of Distinguished Graduates from Bellarmine University and Italian-American Sons & Daughters Award. In 2003, the Cincinnati Business Courier named her a Health Care Hero finalist. In 2004, the Cincinnati Enquirer named her one of the ten “Women of the Year." She was named "Visionary of the Year" by the Northern Kentucky Recorder newspapers, and one of Northern Kentucky’s Most Influential People by the Challenger NKY Newspaper. She currently serves as co-chair of a national advisory board for Remington College.
Ms. Barone received her M.B.A. from Thomas More College, M.S.N. from Bellarmine University, M.S. post-graduate certificate in education from Bellarmine University, B.S.N. from Northern Kentucky University, and her Ed.D. from Northern Kentucky University. She holds Fellow status in the American College of Health Care Executives.

William J. "Bill" Scheben, Jr., is retired chairman of Liberty National Bank of Northern Kentucky. His 30 years in banking include First National Bank of Cincinnati, The Community Bank of Erlanger, Ky., and Liberty National Bank of Northern Kentucky.
He joined our board in 2011, as a continuation of his long service on the board of Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky.
Mr. Scheben holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Kentucky.

Northern Kentucky native Tony Berling is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BS in Civil Engineering. He has been a Professional Licensed Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor with James W. Berling Engineering PLLC for the last 20 years.
Over the last 10 years, Berling has managed the development and sales for the Triple Crown Country Club in Union, Ky., and serves as the developer representative on the Triple Crown HOA Board. He chairs the Architectural Control Committee that oversees all homeowner improvements and modifications.
In addition to his professional affiliations, Berling is a member of the Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, National Society of Professional Engineers, and Kentucky Association of Professional Land Surveyors.
Berling resides in Union with his wife, Donna, and two children, Haley and Merik. He enjoys golf, basketball, boating and cheering for his kids' sports and activities.

Ed Buechel is an attorney with Raines, Buechel, Conley & Dusing. He has been practicing law for more than 30 years. He started his career at Dinsmore & Shohl in Cincinnati, where he became a partner in 1984. In 1996, he and another attorney started their own firm and in 2008 joined with two other attorneys to create their current firm. His practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning and probate. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel.
Buechel joined the board of the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky in 2011 as a continuation of his service on the board of Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky. He is also a member of the board of St. Charles Care Center and SCNK. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Legislative Committee of the Probate and Trust Law Section and an author and frequent speaker on topics involving probate and estate planning.
He holds an AB Degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Xavier University and a JD (Order of Coif) from University of Kentucky College of Law.

In addition to being a member of the board of the Community Foundation, Nancy Francis is also a member of The Advocates, the fund raising group affiliated with the Foundation Board and the Northern Kentucky Children's Advocacy Center. In 2009 and 2011 she co-chaired the Foundation’s signature fundraising events.
Ms. Francis was the co-owner of Clothes Encounters of Northern Kentucky Clothing Boutique from 1998 to 2008. She spent 24 years at AT&T in various management positions in Network Operations and as a principal technical staff member in Research and Development.
She has volunteered as a United Way campaign coordinator, Neediest Kids of All events and Downtown Cincinnati events. Ms. Francis is a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Kurt Keeney is President and CEO at SSK Company, with 14 mobile home parks located in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. He joined the board of the Community Foundation in 2011 as a continuation of his service on the board of Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky.

John Mocker is vice president and partner of LB Industries, Inc., in Covington, where he has been since 1984. LB Industries is a major processor and distributor of tubular products to industry nationwide. He is a past president of the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors.
His current and past community service includes serving on the Kenton County Airport Board Advisory Committee, as president of the board of directors of The Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, on the Board of Trustees for the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation, as a member of its Samaritan Committee and member Samaritan Society, a member of the board of directors for The Carnegie Center for Performing Arts. He is a past president of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and on the board of trustees of the Cincinnati Parks Foundation
He is active in the Republican Party of Kentucky, currently serving as secretary and as a member of the Executive Committee. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Boone County Republican Party and was a delegate to 2004 and 2008 Republican National Convention. He is a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels
Mocker earned the Knowles-Rubenstein Award of Excellence, an industry award by the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors. He was named Jim Bunning Man of the Year and received the NASPD President’s Award.
Mocker is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BS in Business Administration.

Linda Schaffer is an attorney with Keating Muething & Klekamp. Her practice is concentrated in the area of real estate law. She is a registered land attorney in Hamilton County, Ohio.
Prior to joining Keating Muething & Klekamp, Ms. Schaffer practiced with a law firm in Northern Kentucky. Her practice areas include real estate, probate, wills, family law, including dissolutions and adoptions, bankruptcy and municipal law.
Ms. Schaffer joined the board of the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky in 2011, as a continuation of her service on the board of Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky.
She is a recipient of the Pro Bono Award from Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers, Inc. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association. She is a member of the Florence Board of Adjustment and of Cardinal Hill Specialty Hospital Board of Trustees. She is a past member of the Florence City Council and the Boone County Planning Commission.

Betsy Scheben joined the board of Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky in 2011, as a continuation of her long time service on the board of Cardinal Hill of Northern Kentucky. She also serves on the Cardinal Hill LTACH Board at St. Elizabeth, Ft. Thomas.
Mrs. Scheben holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in fine arts from University of Kentucky.

Greg Schrand is President of GSE, Inc. He has a BS in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, MBA from Xavier University and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Greg was previously a member of the Board of Directors at the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, including two years as Board President and a present member of the Board at SD1.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys golfing, skiing and traveling with his family.

Chris Welsh is in his 16th season as Reds TV analyst following a 5-year Major League career with the Padres, Expos, Rangers and Reds. Chris went 21-31 with a 4.45 ERA, 8 complete games and 3 shutouts in 122 career appearances, including 75 starts.
He and partner George Grande are working together for the 16th consecutive season. They are the longest-running TV duo in Reds history. He is a graduate of Cincinnati’s St. Xavier High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, where his baseball coach was Hall of Famer Robin Roberts.
In addition to his television work, Chris is a partner in Champions Sports Academy, which builds and operates numerous sports training facilities throughout the country. He also teaches pitching in the offseason, is the featured speaker at several national baseball forums and publishes articles on baseball.
