
The Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization that provides services to children that have been sexually abused, severely physically abused and children who have witnessed violent crimes. In addition, the NKCAC provides supportive services for non-offending parents, caregivers, siblings, family members and professionals throughout the Northern Kentucky Area Development District counties of Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, and Pendleton.
The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services has designated the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center as the only regional Children’s Advocacy Center in Northern Kentucky. The NKCAC is not in competition with any other organization in the area.
The Northern Kentucky Children's Advocacy Center (NKCAC) is an Accredited Children’s Advocacy Center that has been providing services to children since 1987. The Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center is one of the longest standing centers.
NKCAC provided the
first child sexual abuse medical examination in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and had the
first forensic interviewer employed at a children’s advocacy center in the Commonwealth. NKCAC was the
first center in Kentucky to become a full member of the National Children’s Alliance and the
first center in Kentucky to receive accreditation by the National Children’s Alliance.
